Dr. Doss is an Associate Professor of Psychology. He received his Ph.D. from UCLA, completed his internship at the Medical University of South Carolina and the Ralph H. Johnson Veteran Administration Hospital, and was an Assistant Professor at Texas A&M University for 5 years before starting at the University of Miami in 2009. Dr. Doss has received multiple grants from the National Institutes of Health and the Administration for Children and Families. He teaches undergraduate and graduate classes on couple therapy and romantic relationships. His research is focused on ways to increase the reach of couple interventions, including online interventions (www.OurRelationship.com) and a self-help book titled Reconcilable Differences. Dr. Doss’ research has been cited on The Today Show, CNN, MSNBC, the New York Times, the Miami Herald, and elsewhere.
McKenzie K. Roddy, M.S. is completing her clinical internship at Baylor College of Medicine in the Behavioral Medicine and Geropsychology Track for the 2019-2020 calendar year as the final requirement for her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Miami. She received her B.S. in Psychology with a minor in Biology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and M.S. in Psychology from the University of Miami. McKenzie's research interests include dyadic telehealth interventions and the interplay between relationship and individual functioning. Her dissertation focuses on individual mental and physical health outcomes as well as moderators and mechanisms of effects from the OurRelationship program. McKenzie has served as the lead coach supervisor and trainer for the last 2 years and previously worked as a coach for nearly 4 years.
Elias Lopez, B.A. received his Bachelor’s degree in International Business from Florida International University in 2010. Early in his career, he developed an interest in e-commerce, and subsequently in business development. Elias does digital marketing, which has been his main focus for the past few years. He specializes in search engine marketing and optimization, social media campaigns, keyword research, planning, data analysis and reports for optimization. Currently, he is in charge of digital marketing for the OurRelationship program where he helps to find participants who could benefit from the program. Prior to his current position, he has worked at a digital marketing agency where he handled several accounts, and he has also worked as a member of a marketing team for a startup company.
